Countless times as the lone conservative voice on the PVUSD school board, I've faced moments where I was in the minority on votes involving fiscal responsibility, student safety, and essential matters that constituents care deeply about. While I don’t always agree with the way the board as a whole votes, I do listen, collaborate, and try to find common ground. Still, I never compromise on critical issues or cut backroom deals to advance my own agenda. Integrity isn't negotiable—it's the foundation of the trust we build together.

Proven Leadership with a Personal Touch
I'm no stranger to the Arizona Capitol complex, and my journey has equipped me to connect everyday Arizonans with the policies that change lives. When I was Constituent Services Manager and Ombudsman at the Arizona Department of Education, I championed families navigating complex systems. I built strong ties with local leaders in the state, the U.S. Department of Education, the AZ Attorney General’s Office, and the Governor's Office to deliver real results.
Inspired by my dad—a humble grocery store owner who embodied the American Dream—I've thrived in the public and private sectors, working for Fortune 100 giants and scrappy startups alike. I launched my Arizona adventure in 1994 as an IT Project Manager at Honeywell (once AlliedSignal Aerospace), advanced to Team Leader roles at Catholic Healthcare West and Perot Systems, and even pivoted to veterinary medicine with graduate studies at UC Davis, where I later managed operations at Alta Vista Veterinary Hospital with compassion and precision.

Rooted in Community, Driven by Family and Warmth
Married to my husband, Coy, since 1997, I'm a proud mom to a Horizon High School alum. My passion for service runs deep from the schools to our local churches and nonprofits. Volunteering at the Phoenix Dream Center was an eye-opening experience, where I mentored a young man who had been trafficked by family members, walking alongside him with unwavering support. At Reigning Grace Ranch, I poured my heart into nurturing therapy horses who, in turn, help build confidence in troubled youth and special needs guests—reminders that small acts of kindness can heal and inspire.
My heart beats for service—whether championing kids on the school board, innovating in my career, or lending a hand to neighbors," I reflect warmly. "They call me the 'Voice of the People' on the PVUSD board because I truly listen and battle for what families and educators hold dear. I'm eager to carry that same passion, wisdom, and neighborly spirit to the State House, standing shoulder to shoulder with Legislative District 4 to defend the conservative values that make Arizona shine.

Sandra states: “My life's work has been about listening carefully to the concerns of clients and constituents and tackling challenges head-on to help those in need. Being an elected official on the Paradise Valley Unified School District Governing Board and my tenure working for the Arizona Department of Education have equipped me to understand some of the toughest challenges facing education in our state. I’ve witnessed how governing boards and state decisions touch every constituent — and I want to bring back trust and accountability to state government.”
