Countless times as the lone conservative voice on the PVUSD school board, I've faced moments where I was in the minority on votes involving fiscal responsibility, student safety, and essential matters that community members care deeply about. While I don’t always agree with the way the board as a whole votes, I do listen, collaborate, and try to find common ground. Public Service Excellence: Served as the Constituent Services Manager and Ombudsman at the Arizona Department of Education, where she acted as a bridge between families and the government. She successfully collaborated with the AZ Attorney General’s Office, the Governor’s Office, and the U.S. Department of Education to deliver results.
Corporate & Tech Expertise: A retired IT and Project Management professional, Sandra held leadership roles at Honeywell (AlliedSignal), Catholic Healthcare West, and Perot Systems, thriving in both Fortune 100 environments and lean startups.
Small Business Operations: Proving her adaptability, Sandra completed graduate studies at UC Davis and transitioned into veterinary medicine, managing operations at Alta Vista Veterinary Hospital with a focus on precision and compassionate care. She has also worked in small media startups and marketing with Indigo Mountain Media and Best Version Media.
Deep Arizona Roots: A proud resident of the state for over 30 years and a dedicated family woman, Sandra has been married to her husband, Coy, since 1997 and is the mother of a Horizon High School graduate.

My journey to the Arizona Capitol began with a simple lesson from my father, a humble grocery store owner who embodied the American Dream: work hard, keep your word, and serve others.

On March 23, 2026 Sandra turned in her signatures to be on the ballot for the Arizona Primary on July 21, 2026.
Rooted in Community, Driven by Desire to Serve
Her passion for service runs deep from the schools to our local churches and nonprofits. Volunteering at the Phoenix Dream Center was an eye-opening experience, where she mentored a young man who had been trafficked by family members, walking alongside him with unwavering support.
At Reigning Grace Ranch, Sandra poured her heart into nurturing therapy horses who, in turn, help build confidence in troubled youth and special needs guests—reminders that small acts of kindness can heal and inspire.

What inspired you to enter public service and pursue this political office?
Sandra states: “My life's work has been about listening carefully to the concerns of clients and constituents and tackling challenges head-on to help those in need. Being an elected official on the Paradise Valley Unified School District Governing Board and my tenure working for the Arizona Department of Education have equipped me to understand some of the toughest challenges facing education in our state. I’ve witnessed how governing boards and state decisions touch every constituent — and I want to bring back trust and accountability to state government.”
Which problems or issues in your town/district compelled you to step up as a candidate?
1. Promoting Quality Education: Ensuring that our schools are centers of academic excellence by championing parental rights, school choice, and rigorous academic standards.
2. Building a Stronger Economy: Cutting taxes, curbing inflation, and fueling small businesses to put more money in the pockets of Arizonans.
3. Safeguarding Families and Security: Ensuring access to good healthcare, including preventive medicine; protecting parents’ rights to direct the education, upbringing, health, and mental health of their children; and equipping police and first responders with the resources they need to protect our cities and communities.
Is public service part of your family’s legacy or tradition?
Sandra was inspired to help and serve others by the example her parents set. Her father, a grocery store small business owner, routinely donated food, ice, and beverages to local churches and community centers in Doña Ana, NM. Her mother, grandparents, and many other family members served in their local churches.
How long have you been active in community leadership?
Sandra has over 30 years of hands-on experience in business, technology, veterinary medicine, government, and public service. She has served on the Paradise Valley Unified School District Governing Board since being elected in 2022.

Sandra’s strong faith is the driving force for her life and knows the churches and prayer groups prayed her into her governing board role. She knows our nation is a constitutional republic and believes that government works best when it listens to the people it serves. She keeps faith, family, and freedom at the forefront and is known for offering a caring, no-nonsense, conservative voice rooted in real-world problem-solving.
What’s something about you that might surprise voters?
After a successful career in Information Technology, Sandra pivoted into veterinary medicine and completed graduate studies at the UC Davis School of Veterinary Medicine.
What is your vision for your district in the next 5 years?
Ensuring schools are centers of academic excellence; a thriving economy that supports small and medium-sized businesses as part of the American Dream; safe communities for families; and common-sense solutions to complex issues.
